J. Émile Turcotte

J. Émile Turcotte spent his formative years immersed in the rich history of Montreal. Growing up on the streets of Verdun, Emile soaked up the neighbourhood’s vibes and explored its many niches. Later, as a sociology student, his award-winning undergraduate and graduate career fuelled his ambitions to form an independent research firm; his launching pad toward greater objectives. Now, he has crafted an entertaining and gripping novel that paints vivid and often overlooked portraits of French Canada’s turbulent past.

Émile’s passion for historical fiction stems from his fascination with the untold stories of everyday people from bygone eras. His influences range from classic literature to the oral histories passed down through generations.
